Kai Atinan is a Thai-Chinese fashion stylist and editor whose journey began in vibrant Bangkok and now continues in Germany.
With over 25 years of experience in the industry, Kai seamlessly blends his background in fine arts with a degree in graphic and communication design, giving his work a visually sharp, creatively mischievous edge.
At just 19 year old, A finalist for the Bangkok Art Directors Association's B.A.D Award, he briefly stepped into the advertising world-though fashion, naturally, refused to stay quietly in the background
At the same time, he began interning as a fashion stylist at ELLE Thailand, officially launching his career in the industry he was always destined for.
He later embraced life as a freelance art director, stylist and journalist, contributing to both local and international publications and agencies. His editorial credits include Harper's Bazaar, Arena Homme, Grazia, Wallpaper*, Travel & leisure, Marie Claire, Casaviva, LivingETC, Martha Stewart Living, Prestige, Hello, and many more. He also collaborated on advertorial and advertising projects with major firms such as LOWE, Ogilvy & Mather, and Leo Burnett-because why settle for one creative playground when you can have several?
Kai went on to hold full-time roles for many years as Fashion Director at L'Officiel Thailand, L'Officiel Hommes Thailand, and L'Optimum Thailand. Eventually, his path led him back to where it all began: ELLE Thailand, this time stepping in as Fashion Director-proof that a good origin story always deserves a stylish sequel.
With a multicultural upbringing and an eye shaped by two decades across continents and aesthetics, Kai moves effortlessly between street style and haute couture. His work is defined by harmony, storytelling, optimism, and refinement-always delivered with a signature twist.
